Yasaka Pagoda and the traditional streets of Kyoto
Your trip to Japan on a custom

Travel in Japan.
The art of contrast.

The streets of Kyoto, the energy of Tokyo, the wood of mountain houses. A country to discover by its details.

The spirit of the destination

A first trip to Japan or a journey along less-travelled paths?

Between tradition and modernity, Japan is fascinated by its subtle balance. From ancestral temples to futuristic cities, each step reveals a refined and deeply rooted culture in respect and harmony. For example, you can explore Kyoto with its zen gardens and tea rituals, before you get into the eruption of Tokyo, the city of light where innovation is bound to history.

Japan is not just a destination, it is a total immersion. Traditional festivals, such as the Hanami, where flowering cherries attract crowds, add a vibrant and colorful dimension to your stay. Not to forget the gastronomy, where every dish tells a story, from sushi to ramen.

Three ways to make the journey meaningful

What you come to find.

Kyoto and Nara

Time for gardens

From temples to ancient streets, change visits and walks. Keeping several nights in the same base allows you to discover without making the luggage again every morning.

by Kanazawa & Takayama

Materials and craftsmanship

Gardens, craftsmanship and markets give a different pace to the path. The connection through the mountainous villages must be organized with the transportation actually available.

Tokyo and its neighborhoods

One city, many atmospheres

The sanctuaries, the great contemporary assemblies and the small tables coexist. Group your visits by neighborhoods rather than cross the metropolis several times a day.

Choices that change your stay

Tokyo, Kyoto or a stop in the Japanese Alps?

For a first visit, Tokyo and Kyoto offer two complementary introductions to Japan. A more rural stop brings a change of pace, but each addition needs to be weighed against travel times and the nights actually available. The Japanese Alps offer a different perspective on the country, which you can explore in depth without trying to fit everything in.

Make room for experiences

A stay in Ryokan, an accompanying tour, a gastronomic discovery or a free day can count more than an additional city. Also specify your walking habits and your convenience with transportation: these elements influence the choice of neighborhoods and stages.

Plan ahead for popular periods

Spring flowers and autumn colors attract many travellers; their calendar varies according to regions and years. The accommodation must be considered early and the activities confirmed according to dates. No natural show is guaranteed.

A project published by the Agency

Japan to share.

15–28 November 2027 · 14 days in the programming published.

This start has its own program and conditions. It illustrates a way of traveling the destination; an individual journey will be subject to a separate proposal.

Places, services and maintenance of the departure to be confirmed with Caroline. This content does not constitute a return of travel.

Before Choosing

Your questions about Japan.

How many cities to keep up?

Start with your priorities, then count the useful nights and travel. Two deep steps are sometimes better than a route that changes hotel daily.

Is there a ryookan?

A traditional accommodation can be studied, but not presumed included. Room, bedroom, meal and possible shared facilities must be specified before booking.

Relationship before reservations

Your plans, with Caroline in Perpignan.

The agency is located on the 13th Street of the Angel, 66000 Perpignan. We can prepare your route on a date or distance. The starting point, flights and transfers are determined according to each project: being accompanied by an agency from Perpignan does not mean a direct flight from Perpignan.

Take discovery further

Japan’s neighbourhoods, traditional inns and lesser-known paths

Tokyo is also told in a Yanaka street, a small table and the passages between neighborhoods. In Kyoto, a garden, a canal or a morning in the old streets can count as much as a famous temple. The pleasure comes from these scale changes, between the big city and the details you take time to look at.

Architecture, craftsmanship, cuisine, mountain landscapes or popular culture: Japan allows you to give a very different personality at each departure. The trip gains to follow your interests rather than add to the known places. A night in a traditional hostel can, among other things, transform a simple accommodation in the moment of discovery.

Two directions to shape your journey

What thread will connect your itinerary?

Ideas for discovery to personalise according to your dates, pace and local possibilities.

01

Tokyo, Kyoto and a different atmosphere

Tokyo and Kyoto give two solid anchor points for a first stay. Kanazawa can bring gardens, historic neighborhoods and expertise; Osaka invites more to urban energy and to the pleasures of the table. The additional step is chosen for what it adds to your discovery, not to extend the list of cities.

The Hakone region can be a more landscape parenthese when the connections and nights take place. His interest should not be based only on a view of Mount Fuji, which depends on the sky. The framework, the museums and accommodations allow you to choose the stage for several reasons.

02

From the Japanese Alps to historic post towns

Another wire connects Kanazawa, Takayama and the Kiso Valley. Old streets, woodwork and rural landscapes give a different reading of the country. Some parts of the old Nakasendo road invite you to walk between the stages cities; the distance and the terrain must match your real ease.

Mountain travel sometimes requires the combination of trains and buses. A well-prepared step saves time to get to his hostel, enjoy dinner and find the streets after the visits. It is often more pleasant to choose two additional places than to cross the whole area in a few nights.

Choose the nights that matter

Ryokan, urban hotel and small countryside address offer different experiences. The type of room, meals and baths should be specified before choosing.

Travel light between stops

The size of the baggage must correspond to transportation. The organization of the travel and the possibilities of shipping the luggage can be studied with the route.

Keep half-days flexible

A neighborhood, a museum or a kitchen desire can arise on the way. Free beaches allow you to follow this curiosity without disorganizing the entire stay.

Give the journey the right pace

A dozen days allow a first concentrated route; two weeks give more latitude for a regional stage. These periods are indicative. Flowers and leaves create an atmosphere, without guaranteeing a phenomenon at a specific date.

Extend without spreading too thin

Train, ryokan and gardens can respond in the same journey. A second departure will be able to focus on Kyushu or Shikoku, rather than repeat the big axis. Combined or custom, the pace is chosen according to your desire for sharing and autonomy.
