Choose a thread, rather than a succession of temples
Angkor can be the strong time of the journey without occupying all its history. The capital, the counties and Battambang give other signs to understand the country. Start with your interest in heritage, meetings and contemporary creation, and then measure the necessary duration between the steps.
The thinking behind the Odyssée programme
The program from 22 February to 4 March 2027 begins in Phnom Penh, continues to Siem Reap and Angkor, then integrates Battambang, Kampong Chhnang and Oudong. This published path provides a concrete example of complementarity between the capital, temples and other stages. This is not a travel story that has already been done.
Distribute your days at Angkor
Our document distinguishes several days and different sets, including Banteay Srei, Angkor Vat, Ta Prohm and Angkor Thom. For a individual project, the choice of sites and the order of visits must take into account your pace and the expected accompaniment. Keep pauses: multiplying the monuments does not replace the time to understand them.
What an additional stop changes
Battambang brings a different atmosphere, but also transport and accommodation changes. Compare the real available hours on the site. A bamboo train trip or a cultural tour mentioned in a program should only be considered acquired if it is expressly included in your proposal.
An escorted group or an individual project
The group follows dates and a common framework; the over-measure part of your availability and priorities. The two compares on the services: guidance, meals, comfort, transfers and free time. The idea of an “accessible” pace does not dismiss the examination of the stairs and real conditions of the visits.
Questions before deciding
How many nights do you want to spend in the temples? Do you prefer more time in town or in town? What comfort do you expect on the journey? Caroline helps you to choose these arbitration; the applicable formalities and conditions will be checked according to your situation and your departure.
