From Tbilisi’s courtyards to Caucasian horizons

Georgia is discovered in the details: a wooden balcony in Tbilisi, a table, the lines of a monastery above a valley. The mountainous landscapes are powerful, but do not summarize the country. Cities, wine roads and traditions give the journey a different thickness than a simple panoramic path.

Tbilisi is a great introduction to these contrasts. It passes from ancient neighborhoods to contemporary spaces, from pente streets to the river. The suite depends on your priority: Caucasian valleys, heritage, cuisine or Kakhetian counties. Wanting all the regions in a first trip quickly leads to a lot of road.

Tbilisi, Mtskheta and the northern valleys

A first construction can associate Tbilisi to Mtskheta, before extending to Stepantsminda according to season and conditions. The change of landscape is clear: the city leaves place to the valleys and silhouettes of the Caucasus. A step in this area allows appropriate discoveries, from contemplative look to the chosen walk.

The mountains require flexibility. A less favorable day should not become a compulsory program; the choice of nights and a margin allows further discoveries. We distinguish a cultural journey with views on the heights of a real hiking stay, whose direction and rhythm are different.

Kakheti and Georgia’s regional traditions

In the east, Kakhetia offers another breath, between agricultural landscapes, villages and religious heritage.
