New Zealand: choosing the right itinerary
Volcanoes, Mauritius culture and geothermal landscapes on the North Island; Alpine reliefs, lakes and fjords on the South Island: New Zealand offers two complementary approaches. It is better to start with the time you have and the experiences that attract you, before you decide to bring together the two islands. A compact card can hide long road days.
A project focused on Auckland, Rotorua and volcanic landscapes is suitable for a Northern discovery. A journey between Christchurch, Aoraki/Mount Cook, Queenstown and Fiordland privileges the major Southern spaces. These trails are to be adapted to the season, your walking desires and the traveler’s pace; they do not constitute a commercial circuit with fixed dates.
A new desire to explore. This destination is offered as a travel route on request. The feasibility, partners, services and conditions are to be confirmed with Caroline first of all.
One island or two: the first decision
A focusing journey on an island can be richer than an accelerated traverse of both. Ferries or domestic flights, stages and time of route are to be placed before the activities.
Prepare a suitable self-drive trip
Driving, walking and rest days must correspond to the travellers. The project is to be studied with Caroline; accommodation, transport and services remain to be confirmed before proposal.
Compare Pacific horizons
A high island, an atoll, an island stay or a large route do not meet the same project. Choose a horizon, then build the rhythm and steps.
